HOA had the privilege of becoming a new Control System Integrator for Russel County Kansas to provide major improvements and continued service for their operational needs.

Most Recently, HOA facilitated the upgrade of the county’s current water distribution system by providing a brand-new PLC control panel as well as providing significant upgrades to the previous outdated system. HOA provided a more robust communication system by providing a network of 5G cellular radios for more remote sites, licensed radios for closer locations and constructed a cloud-based server for integration between the two systems.

HOA was able to achieve a total swap from the existing PLCs by working with operators and determining an optimal order of replacement. Doing so, HOA achieved minimal downtime in operations of the current system while the replacements occurred. HOA was able to reuse much of the legacy equipment while integrating the new upgrades to the system.

In addition to the control panels, HOA also provided a complete SCADA system for the remote operation and monitoring of the system. This allows the operators to monitor and control remote sites all from a single cloud-based system. This service also includes routine check-ins, software upkeep, and cybersecurity services.
